The book of Proverbs was written primarily by Solomon (1:1; 10:1; 25:1). God gave Solomon great wisdom and he is often referred to as the wisest man to ever live. Solomon no doubt had incredible knowledge and there was a long period of time where he faithfully used that knowledge in a wise manner. However, we also know that Solomon failed to use his God-given knowledge in the latter years of his life. This is proof that a knowledgeable person, is not always wise.
Knowledge is only good if you use it.
