In the parable of the sheep and the goats, Jesus instructs on two very clear and simple truths. The reality of heaven and the reality of hell are explained in simple detail. Jesus lays out the simple truth that God sits upon the throne of heaven (v. 31). There is a judgment coming in which God will separate true followers, from false (v.32). Faith, which is revealed in action, will be the deciding factor of entrance into heaven (v.35). Those who respond in life by faith from a transformed heart are the sheep (v.35) and those who refuse to humble themselves before Jesus Christ will be cast into hell (v.45). From this parable we learn much about hell.
