I Corinthians 3:10-15
The Bema Seat of Christ

The judgment (bema) seat was an elevated seat in the city of Corinth where officials sat as they passed justice, as well as a place where the athletes were distinguished and received rewards for their efforts in sporting events.

The Bema Seat is also known as the Judgment Seat of Christ, not to be confused with the Great White Throne Judgment (where sinners will receive the eternal payment for their sins).
