I have heard some interesting conversations around the life of Rahab, especially focused on the fact that she lied. People usually take sides and try to debate whether Rahab right or wrong to deceive the people of Jericho when she hid the spies and lied about it. This is especially interesting to me, because this is not the purpose of this passage. The purpose of this passage is God’s redemption of a sinner. The story is one of faith, in spite of sin and failure.
