Today we will begin a short series throughout the book of 1 Thessalonians. This is a very interesting book because of the background of what was occurring as it was written. It is also an important book because it lays out a framework of disciple-making. It is a first century church, an infant church, that became a powerhouse of disciple making. This church was composed of brand-new believers, not seasoned Christians, and yet they turned their area upside down for Christ.
