Jesus continues His radical yet practical teaching, on how a disciple should behave in everyday life. He now moves into more spiritual aspects of a disciple’s life. Although Jesus will condemn the practices of the religious, He does not condemn the disciplines of worship. The manner in which the religious leaders openly flaunt and falsify faith is the issue. In fact, the methods of the religious leaders is repulsive to God. God desire a sincerity from our heart, not a pretense of devotion.
